Introducing Annie

Things have been turned upside down in my household for the past three weeks.  We've been trying to find the perfect addition to our pet family for a while, and we finally found her!  Meet Annie, our new Australian Shepherd puppy.  She is a mess.  They weren't kidding when they said having a puppy is like having a baby.

She is adjusting to our family quickly and is already spoiled.  The cats, however, are still adjusting. Annie tries to play with them and they don't want anything to do with her.  Luna has already put her in her place and now Annie keeps her distance.

We wanted to find a strong female name for her.  I know, I know, Annie sounds too sweet to be strong, but it is who she is named after that makes her strong.  While her papers officially say Annie Oakley her name was also influenced by...

Anne Lamott
Annie Lenox
Annie Hall
Anne Frank

We are completely smitten.  Who isn't with that face?

  1. Hello Annie!

I love aussies. I don't have one right now, but I plan on getting another one in the future.

My first aussie was named Shiloh. I had him when I was 13. My neighbors also had two aussies named Thistle and Birch. :)
